Enhancing Classroom Learning: Improved Questioning for Teachers and Students Using AI (Audience: K-12th Grades)

Creating meaningful questions in lessons is crucial for enhancing student achievement. Detailed processes for using generative AI to develop questions are described, including prompting terms, analysis of the output for specific outcomes, and creation of multiple levels of questions to support ALL students. Different strategies for teachers to improve their digital literacies through exploring generated questions/results, strategically creating and embedding questions used during instruction, creating formative and summative assessments, and designing project-based learning activities. The presenters share examples of AI generated questions from different content areas, grounded in TEKS standards. Personal internet connected devices are recommended to participate in application.
